April Favorites – 2017

April flew by so fast. It’s been a great month. I’ve been working out a lot (which makes me feel so good and confident with myself). I also have been going on a denim jeans hunt (I scored two pair of jeans) and I’ve also watched two tv-shows that I’ve been waiting for them to premiere.
So let’s hop on to the favorites!

Like I was talking about my denim jeans hunt, I’ve been dying to get a good pair of denim jeans that actually fit me perfectly. As a short girl (I’m 5’4″, 1.62m), it’s hard to find a good pair of denim jeans, where I don’t have to fold them up (all the time). I found a pair (actually TWO pairs of denim jeans) at H&M. I’ve been looking at different webshops and stores, and gave H&M a try. And I’m GLAD I have found two pairs of jeans that fit me, where I don’t have to fold them up, because I’m short. I’ve been loving these so much.

A white blouse can go with everything, and you can wear it with everything. I got this together, with the denim jeans. I had this amazing image in my mind, on how to wear it, and I had to get it. I paired it with the light denim jeans, and gold glasses.

Skincare is something that I have always loved. I think it’s important to care for your skin very well, and treat it right. I’ve been seeing Mario Badescu’s skincare line a lot lately. I already knew about it last year, because of Youtuber, Lauren Elizabeth. She has recommended to try it out if you’re dealing with acne or have any scars.
And this time I decided to get the drying lotion and the rosewater spray. These products have definitely helped my skin a lot better. I would totally recommend it to anyone, who’s dealing with acne and red spots. Oh and can we also talk about the colors and the packaging. Pink, makes it so pretty and so aesthetically pleasing.

For music, I found out about this (new?) artist, his name is Khalid. I have been (still am) in love with his album “American Teen”. His hit song is “Location”, which is so amazing and so soothing to listen to. His voice is so nice and chill. It’s not something you hear very often, same for his music. The whole album is my favorite thing that has ever happened to me, honestly. But my favorites of the album are “American Teen”, “Saved”, “Location, “8TEEN” and “Winter”. Give it a listen! It’s so good. His album, is down below.

And like every other month, here are my top 10 favorite songs of the latest month April:

  1. Now Or Never – Halsey
  2. On My Way – Tiësto, Bright Sparks
  3. American Teen – Khalid
  4. Invitation – Yellow Claw, Yade Lauren
  5. Wake Up Alone – The Chainsmokers, Jhene Aiko
  6. Humble – Kendrick Lamar
  7. Ex’s & Oh’s – Elle King
  8. Runaway – Spirit, Xuitcasecity
  9. In The Name Of Love (DallasK remix) – Martin Garrix, Bebe Rexha
  10. Love Is Alive – Louis The Child, Elohim

April was like a release month of tv-shows, and also the start again of Pretty Little Liars. I’m so sad that only 8 episodes are left, before the show ends. It’s one of my favorite shows, and I’ve been watching it for 6 years now. It’s like I’ve grown up with it. I’m gonna miss it so much.

I. Marlene King has a new show called “Famous In Love”, starring Bella Thorne. It’s such an awesome show, it’s kind of like Gossip Girl. It’s all about best friends, fame and gossip. I love some drama in tv shows, so this is my favorite. I already watched the first 10 episodes, and it’s honestly so good.

In other news, Selena Gomez’s tv-show “13 Reasons Why” also premiered on Netflix. Many people know about this show, and the strong message it sends to people who watch it. This show really touched me. It’s like eye-opening for people who don’t know how affective words can be, and also shows that everyone has some difficulties in their lives. I think it’s important for people to know now, that they should think first before they speak. And of course people should know that it’s not ever okay to bully someone or people in some type of way, because you don’t know what they’re going through.
Do something about these kind of problems. Know that actions speak louder than words. If you haven’t watched the show, I would suggest to watch it.

So that’s it for April’s favorites. I hope you all liked it, and if you have any questions or comments, leave them down below. Would love to know what y’all think!

Love, Saida.
